The 17-year-old Mhatre smashed a 117-ball 181 to eclipse the record, previously held by Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, who accumulated 2013 against Jharkhand in the 2019 Vijay Hazare Trophy when he was just 17 years and 292 days old. Playing just his debut senior domestic season, Mhatre has already made his mark in the Ranji Trophy, scoring a hundred against Maharashtra in October. |
