On the 12th of December 2015, an Inter-Collegiate Competition named "Arth Gyaan" was conducted by Ramniranjan Jhunjhunwala College of Arts, Science and Commerce. Congratulations to the following students on their win.
1) Mr. Shashank Sah and Miss Tanaya Despande secured the 1st position in Eco Talk.
2) Miss Revathi Jayandran and Miss Manila Sanghani won the 2nd prize in "Business Buzz" and 3rd prize in "Poster Presentation".

The Gujarati Literary Circle of Podar participated in the Inter-Collegiate Gujarati Festival "Gujarat Ni Asmita 2015" and bagged Runners-Up position in its Raas Garba Competition.

2nd In Mono-Acting in Asmita 2015 |

"Ms Richa Shukla of Sybcom was placed Second in the Gujarati Mono Acting Competition at Gujarati Festival "Asmita 2015" organized by NM College on 1st December 2015 wherein more than 18 colleges participated.
Richa had done a performance on the feelings and emotions of a man who suffered from Cerebral Palsy.
The judge for the event was Mr Kamlesh Mota who is a well known Gujarati theatre actor and director." |

Gujarati Literary Circle of Podar participated in the Inter-Collegiate Gujarati Festival "Asmita 2015" which was organised by NM College of Commerce and Economics. More than 18 Colleges participated in this two day cultural extravaganza.
The Podar Contingent team bagged Runners Up place giving a tough competition to all the other contingent teams. The team was mentored by Prof. Karishma Khadiwala and was managed and co-ordinated by the CL Amish Shah and ACL Shivani Chheda.
Mr. Amish Shah of SYBCom was also honoured with "The Best Contingent Leader Award" along with 2 Nights 3 Days Funded Trip to Macau by the Asmita Team for his exceptional leadership and management skills among all the CLs of Asmita 2015.

Hearty congratulations to Nikita Banawalikar for winning the MENAKA TROPHY at Inter college youth festival 2014-15 along with Gold medal for Classical dance for the second consecutive year. She had represented Mumbai university for state, zonal & national level youth festival 2014-15 for classical dance & one act play. She has also won:
1. State level Indradhanushya 2014 held at Amravati:- Gold medal for Classical dance
2. Zonal level inter university youth festival held at Ajmer :- Gold medal for classical dance
Gold medal for One act play
3. National level inter university youth festival held at Indore:- Silver medal for classical dance
Bronze medal for One act play.
She has been selected to represent India at the SAUFEST (SOUTH ASIAN UNIVERSITIES YOUTH FESTIVAL ) 2015 for Classical dance to b held on 8th march 2015 at UDAIPUR. |

Winners of 22nd International Economics Convention organised by HSNC Board |

The International Economics Convention
The Hyderabad Sind National Collegiate (HSNC) board, every year organizes a prestigious research paper writing and presentation event known as the ‘International Economics Convention’. More than 8 colleges across the city, along with colleges from United States of America compete in this event. In its 22nd year, the theme for the Economics Convention was ‘Political Systems and Economic Development’. All the colleges were assigned one country to research on this topic. The country assigned to Podar was Singapore.
To represent Podar at the event, a 6 member team was selected. The team members were:

3) Shyam Datye – S.Y.B.com
4) Adhishree Aras – S.Y. B.com
5) Amish Shah – F.Y. B.com

2)Mrs. Sudarshana Saikia
The team worked for over 6 months to prepare a worthy research paper and presented it in a 3 day event from 11th to 13th December, 2014. The Podar team has on previous occasions won the Best Research Paper award but last year, along with winning the ‘Best Research Paper’ award & ‘Best team presentation runner up’ award, the team also managed to win the most coveted ‘Winning Team’ award at this event.
The theme of the convention for this year is ‘Corporate Social Responsibility’ and Podar will prepare a paper on India in context of the theme. |
